Upon observing current societal trends, I conclude that ethical guidelines, such as the Ten Commandments, may appear overly complex for contemporary individuals.
Influential figures, absorbed in their own ambitions and pride, seem capable of recalling only isolated principles. Consequently, I hold no grievances against the state of the world; ultimately, we all face the same fate beyond this life. My concern lies in the fact that, despite millennia of human progress, society has yet to develop a comprehensive framework that ensures the protection of all individuals.
A concept similar to this exists, based on the principle that for healthy social relations, every individual’s existence should be considered important. For humans, the principle “treat others as you would like to be treated” can be considered a guiding standard for behaviour.
With this perspective, Musk’s libertarianism emerges as paramount, if characterized by the conviction that both positive and negative freedoms are encompassed in the proscription of actions that might influence another individual’s fate. Consequently, decisions that are termed global, due to their universal impact, become unattainable because they are deemed unethical.
